On 24 October 2020, UN Day, the Swiss-UN Association hosted a hybrid event entitled "UN Day 2020 - 75 Years UN: The impact of Switzerland at the UNSC in a disruptive world".
A number of top-ranking experts addressed relevant questions such as: What opportunities and risks would a seat as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council entail for Switzerland? How could Switzerland contribute with its expertise and use its position to advance its own priorities? What would be the impact of a SC membership on the perception of Switzerland? Could Switzerland contribute to the reforms of the central body of the UN?
